A glider trailer is more than just a way to transport your aircraft—it is a valuable piece of equipment that protects your glider during storage and travel. Over time, exposure to sunlight, road grime, moisture, and oxidation can leave the trailer looking dull and worn. Regular polishing not only restores its appearance but also helps preserve the trailer’s surface and extend its lifespan.

Washing the Glider Trailer
Start by giving the trailer a comprehensive wash. Use a mild automotive shampoo and plenty of water to remove dirt, insects, road salt, and grease. Pay special attention to seams, hinges, and wheel arches where grime tends to accumulate.
Once surfaces are cleaned the are decontaminated ready for polishing or in cases of high oxidisation they are sanded prior to polishing.
We have multiple machine polishers, both rotary and dual action in several sizes to combat all areas small and large.
The polishing heads employed are wool, sponge and in some cases microfibre depending upon surface and finish demands.
